The writer, plainly told.

I am Jay Chothiyawala, and I write to make sense of what I feel, what I remember, and what keeps changing.

This space is a record of essays, notes, and reflections gathered over time. Some are polished. Some are fragments. All of them belong to the same attempt at honesty.

I care about language that moves slowly and leaves room for feeling. I care about the kind of writing that does not rush past a scene, a thought, or a contradiction.

I am interested in the ordinary things that keep becoming meaningful: conversations, loss, longing, habits, and the ways memory edits us.

I do not try to sound complete here. I try to sound true.

Thank you for spending time in this space, in this ether of words and reflection.
